To assist planning, procure, produce and serve high quality, freshly made, nutritious and well‑presented food. To oversee the service of food and beverage to a range of patients and customers and ensure food safety standards are adhered to. To adhere to the NHS National standards for healthcare food and drink 2022.
Main duties of the job
- To prepare and ensure meals are delivered and served appropriately, including relevant portion size.
- Assist in the service of food to customers and staff as and when required (catering retail outlets).
- Observe safe working practices pertaining to Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and food safety regulation/legislation.
- Exercise rigid stock control/rotation within freezers, refrigerators and stores areas.
