Chef De Partie (Pastry) Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, and bread items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Supervise and guide junior pastry staff (Commis, trainees) in daily preparation.
- Set up and organize the pastry section, ensuring all mise en place is ready for service.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all pastry items.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the pastry kitchen.
- Assist in developing new pastry items or seasonal dessert menus.
- Minimum 2–3 years of pastry experience in a hotel or restaurant.
- Good knowledge of baking techniques, chocolate work, and plated desserts.
