**Description**

The Production Operator follows established procedures to manufacture chemical intermediates and finished products. The Operator follows procedures that are set forth in the form of batch records and work instructions. This person completes a variety of duties: in addition to operating chemical processes, the employee may perform setup, cleaning of equipment, waste disposal, emergency response, warehouse activities, maintenance, and clean-up activities needed to facilitate general operations and regulatory compliance.

Operators are given extensive safety and Operator-specific training before they are assigned process work. After the initial training period, Production employees work 12-hour shifts with alternating days off, and rotate between night and day shifts every 12 weeks.
