Opportunity Description
Chemist- Distillery
The Chemist supports all areas of distillery operations—including distilling, processing, bottling, and warehousing—from a quality and analytical standpoint. This role focuses on laboratory testing, equipment operation, and ensuring products meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform testing on fermentation, distilling, processing, and finished product samples
+ Support production teams through analytical testing and quality oversight
+ Operate and troubleshoot lab equipment (YSI, DMA, GC, GC/MS)
+ Accurately record, analyze, and report test results
+ Serve as a subject matter expert on lab instruments and testing methods
+ Manage sample retention (organization, labeling, disposal)
+ Participate in daily sensory testing/tastings
+ Travel between two production facilities as needed
