Chief Financial Officer

• Lead strategic financial initiatives and enhance organisational sustainability.
• Oversee the Financial Services department, ensuring compliance and effective service delivery.
• Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to implement Council's Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) and long-term financial sustainability.
• Oversee Council's Grants function to maximise external funding opportunities. 
• Provide strategic oversight of Council's internal and external communications to enhance community confidence

About the Opportunity

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of Parkes Shire Council’s Financial Services department. This position involves not only the comprehensive management of financial operations but also the provision of authoritative advice on governance, budget development, and long-term financial sustainability.
