Children and Young People Skills Mentor

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to the pending 2026/2027 national pay award. The final salary will be adjusted accordingly once this has been agreed.

We are looking to recruit a Children and Young People’s Skills Mentor to join the Pupil Referral Unit in Ceredigion on a full‑time basis. This is an exciting role within the service providing the opportunity to work with young people from the community and improve their educational outcomes within a bespoke and person‑centred educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate educational and wellbeing support that meet the Additional Learning Needs of our pupils
• Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all pupils who attend the unit
• Provide high quality pastoral care by coordinating programs and interventions
• Create an inclusive, comfortable and happy school environment to ensure improvements in learner engagement and wellbeing
