Civil Engineer

Summary About the Position: Serves as Project Engineer. Is responsible for design or review of designs for major and complex civil works structures such as navigation locks, concrete dams, canals, highways, pumping navigations, bridges, breakwaters, coastal revetment structures, and others. Serves as a representative of Design Section on projects, studies, and contracts assigned. Responsibilities Preparing timely, accurate, and effective communications for customers, stakeholders, strategic partners, the workforce, and the public. Investigating sites to determine problem areas and recommend solutions. Developing plans, designs, and specifications and reviewing plans, designs, and specifications prepared by others for the improvement/alternation of existing or the eventual construction of new facilities.
