Summary About the Position: The Walla Walla District US Army Corps of Engineers helps manage local water resources for navigation, flood risk mitigation, emergency management, disaster assistance, hydroelectric power generation, environmental and other natural and heritage areas. Responsibilities Serve as hydrology and hydraulic expert for reservoir regulation. Utilize technical knowledge of current water management issues to assist the Section Chief in strategic planning of real time reservoir operation and hydrologic and hydraulic engineering water management studies for Walla Walla District reservoirs Independently conduct technical hydrologic engineering assessments of basin conditions and provide authoritative determinations to avert unnecessary water management conflicts.
