Civil Engineer - Structural - DIRECT HIRE

Summary This position is in the Technical Services Branch of the Central Federal Lands Highway Division and responsible for performing duties related to designing and developing plans, specifications, and estimates for bridges, large culverts, viaducts, and retaining walls on federally owned lands in a multi-state area. Serves as technical support and helps develop, promote, and apply sound planning, inspection, design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance practices related to structures. Responsibilities As a Civil Engineer (Structural), you will: Interpret and apply relevant structural codes for design, construction, testing, and maintenance of structures, including seismic design and retrofit. Develop plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for bridges and recommend the selection of safe and economical bridge types and designs, site selection, structure locations, and structural adequacy.
