The post holder will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the healthcare environments across Southport and Ormskirk sites meet the highest standards of hygiene and infection prevention. The postholder will be responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of cleaning training programmes for both clinical and non‑clinical teams, as well as undertaking technical and efficacy audits in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness.

Key duties include:

• Act as a subject‑matter expert in cleanliness and environmental hygiene, supporting both clinical and non‑clinical staff to embed best practice.
• Conduct training programmes, audits, monitoring and provide feedback to improve service delivery.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to ensure consistency of cleanliness standards.
