Clinic Care Assistant (Phlebotomist) - Melrose Arch

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Phlebotomist for their Melrose Arch store, Sandton Region. Responsible for performing safe, accurate, and efficient blood collection and basic health screening procedures in a private primary health care clinic. The role supports physicians and nursing staff by ensuring high‑quality specimen collection, patient preparation, and adherence to clinical and infection‑control standards while delivering excellent patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Certificate or Diploma in Phlebotomy or a related health care field
• Minimum of 2 – 5 years of experience in a private clinic or primary health‑care setting
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Basic life support (BLS) or first aid certification
• Proven competency in venipuncture and capillary blood collection
• Computer literate – MS Office
