Clinical Dietitian / PRN

**Description**

+ Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients in an inpatient and outpatient hospital setting. Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) includes assessment, nutrition diagnosis, and intervention to manage patient care.
+ Consults with physicians and health care personnel to develop a nutrition plan using the Nutrition Care Process for optimum outcome.
+ Documents care process in the medical record. Initial assessment, consult and follow up are completed per policy.
+ Is an MNT resource professional for other personnel or community.
+ Utilizes effective time management in organizing work load, prioritizing and accomplishing tasks.
+ Identifies problems, collects data, and takes corrective action for new and/or assigned quality improvement and/or process improvement projects.
+ May precept the activities of Emory Dietetic Interns under the supervision of a mentor dietitian Level II or higher.
