Clinical Interventionist, Provincial Preschool Autism Services (Eastern Zone, Port Hawkesbury)

Overview

The Clinical Interventionist works within the Provincial Preschool Autism Service (PPAS), a partnership between IWK Health, Nova Scotia Health, Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia, and Autism Nova Scotia. The role focuses on providing person‑and family‑centred services to preschoolers (ages 0‑6) with autism, including assessment, goal setting, intervention delivery, and family education.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate goal‑setting processes with families and deliver assessments related to these goals.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized intervention programs within a multi‑disciplinary framework.
• Provide direct supervision to Program Implementers on intensive intervention, manualised caregiver‑mediated programs, and other intervention models.
