Opportunity Description
Summary The Clinical Pharmacist serves as a representative of the Pharmacy Service in a variety of functions throughout the Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System. The practice of Pharmacy consists of direct and indirect patient care, drug therapy monitoring and patient education. The incumbent is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to optimize patient response and resource utilization for professional staff. Responsibilities The Clinical Pharmacist has the full time responsibility for providing pharmaceutical care to optimize patient response and resource utilization for professional staff. The incumbent carries out the following duties and responsibilities but is not limited to: Monitors therapy on an ongoing basis to assess therapeutic outcomes, adverse effects and compliance. Analyzes laboratory data to rule out drug interferences.
