Opportunity Overview

We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team in supporting the Lead Veterinarian on Auckland Council’s vital desexing campaign. The role is a permanent full‑time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, located in Henderson Animal Shelter. Applications close Monday, 29 June 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands‑on clinical care supporting Auckland’s desexing campaign.
  • Perform surgeries, conduct consultations, and deliver high‑quality medical care.
  • Give advice and training to Animal Management staff to uphold the highest standards of animal welfare.
  • Work across multiple shelter locations and contribute to community education initiatives.
