Description – General Machinist

The acceptable candidates shall be required to set up and operate lathes, and hand equipment with minimal supervision. faces and diameters holding tolerances of between .005 and .0002. Ability to inspect internal and external dimensions using micrometers, gages, and amps. Maintain proper documentation of SPC data and collaborate with management staff and the supervisor. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques is helpful. Overtime is generally required. 1st piece and in-process inspection of the necessary work.
