CNC Machine Operator - Lathe

Day Shift 6:00am – 4:30pm MON-THUR

Principal Responsibilities

• Ability to operate CNC and manual Lathes.
• Low quantity runs
• Review setup sheets and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence and dimensions; read and understand blueprints, bill of materials, and other specifications to determine product requirements.
• Assemble cutting tools in holders, set cutter length, and position in machine spindles; select part holding fixtures and index part as needed to machine as required.
• Loads control media in machine control console or enter commands to retrieve pre-programmed machine instructions from database; edit machine speed and feed.
• Performs a variety of inspection and gauging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications; observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions...
