This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to machine flat and formed parts in accordance with inch and metric drawing specifications. The CNC Lathe Machinist serves as a technical resource for tooling and machining capabilities, supports continuous improvement efforts, and contributes to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate CNC lathes to machine flat and formed parts to precise inch and metric drawing specifications.
+ Act as a technical resource on tooling selection, machining capabilities, and process improvements.
+ Evaluate and justify new tooling and machining processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
+ Communicate clearly about issues related to work orders, programming errors, material shortages, and other production concerns.
+ Maintain a continuous focus on reducing material usage, labor time, and scrap.
