Co-ordinator / Senior Healthcare Support Worker

Working under the supervision of the Clinical Nurse Specialist and Advanced Nurse Practitioner team, the post holder will provide clinical and pathway coordination support within the nurse-led Urology Diagnostics and Active Surveillance Service.

The role combines direct patient care with pathway management, supporting patients throughout their diagnostic journey and acting as a key point of contact for patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will play a key role in the quality assurance of suspected urological cancer referrals. This will include reviewing referrals to ensure all required clinical information is available prior to clinical triage, liaising with GP practices and other external providers to obtain missing information, and working across multiple IT systems to support the accurate and timely booking of investigations and appointments.
