Code Compliance Officer

Salary range: $47,136 - $65,990

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employees in this position work with property owners, tenants, developers, and the public to ensure compliance with the City’s ordinances, under general direction of the Planning Director. The Code Compliance Officer may respond to and investigate community complaints, perform inspections, review and issue permits, issue notices of violation and stop work orders, write civil citations, hold fact-finding hearings, prepare bid specifications for remediation and demolition contractors, carry out orders of abatement issued by the City Council, and advise the public on the City’s ordinances related to minimum housing, zoning, driveways, floodplain development, subdivisions, property maintenance, and signage.
