Assures that coding and abstracting of all discharged patient types are completed within specified time frame. Control staffing and productivity requirements to ensure that all coding responsibilities and goals are met. Assures that the A130 is reviewed daily and reconciled. Manager will select, train, and mentor high quality employees, promote positive working relationships, assist in the evaluation of the coding program. Ensures Kronos is updated daily to reflect accurate productivity. Assures that the coding staff has a 95% accuracy rate of assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT codes. Assures that the coding staff is following all coding guidelines. Assures that a 95% accuracy rate in DRG assignment per HCFA guidelines are assigned by the coding staff. Charts to be rechecked after the physician completes them to assure the codes match the final diagnoses.
