University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) is seeking Band 6 Registered Midwives for our Community Midwifery Service across Derbyshire.

Responsibilities

• Provide antenatal and postnatal care to a GP caseload and support a 24‑hour homebirth service.
• Assess and plan care for women of all ages, manage vulnerable adult and child protection procedures.
• Deliver midwifery skills including suturing, venepuncture, perineal repair and care in low‑risk settings such as home births and water births.
• Serve a wide geographical area with teams based across Staffordshire, Derbyshire, and continuity of carer teams; care women in the Foston Prison Service.
• Work within small, well‑led teams and support dual contracts between community and acute midwifery services.
• Meet on‑call, weekend and night working obligations.
