Community Visitor - Let's Make Friends

About the Role

As an Advocare volunteer you will visit older people in the City of Swan area. You may talk to them, play a board game, go for a walk, or simply spend time together. Your role will have a positive impact by helping to connect older persons with their community and reduce feelings of loneliness.

• Training: Full induction and training before placement, including Dementia training

Responsibilities

Visit residents, provide companionship, engage in activities, and support their social wellbeing.

Qualifications

Basic approachability, empathy, and willingness to learn training. No specific certification required.
