Computer Numerical Control Programmer

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be guided by the Senior Manufacturing Engineer to carry out your duties. Your primary duty would be to write CNC programmes through the review of drawings.

• Review customer drawings for any errors or clarification before start of job
• Prepare geometric layout of designs using Mastercam. Knowledge of FeatureCam, Solidworks & Vericut is an added advantage
• Actively involved in improvement projects
• Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency. Back up the confirmed programs into server once FA is proved
• Analyze and select speeds and cutting tools for programs and design fixtures for machining purposes
• Perform detailed investigations on any machining defect
• Prepare set up sheet, measuring sketch and tools list before releasing the programs for each new job and repeated job
