Job Title: Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician
The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician performs soil and concrete testing on industrial and retail construction projects in the Dallas area. This role focuses on field testing activities such as slump tests, pressure tests, soil density and gradation testing, while maintaining clear communication with site members. The position suits someone who enjoys hands-on work outdoors, has strong attention to detail, and can apply writing skills to document test results accurately.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct field tests (slump, pressure, soil density, gradation, compaction).
+ Operate testing equipment, including nuclear density gauges (e.g., Troxler).
+ Record and report test results accurately using basic math and writing.
+ Communicate progress and results with superintendents and internal teams.
+ Transport, load, and maintain testing equipment.
