Consultant Anaesthetist

Victoria Hospital

We are looking to appoint a Consultant Anaesthetist to complement a department of over 40 people in a busy District General Hospital. On-call commitments will cover ICU. The ICU at Victoria Hospital has 10 beds, with approximately 400 level 3 patients admitted annually.

We provide anaesthesia and critical care for a wide range of specialty surgery including Robotics, General Surgery, Breast, ENT, Maxillofacial, Obstetrics, Gynaecology (general and oncology), Trauma and Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology and Paediatrics. Day surgery is performed at a stand-alone unit in Dunfermline. We also provide support to an on site National Treatment Centre for elective Orthopaedic work.

The successful candidate will have a medical post graduate qualification (i.e. FRCA, MRCP, FFICM, etc.) and be on the Specialist Register or within six months of a Certificate of Completion of Training at the time of interview.
