Job Overview

We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Medicine department. The client’s Intensive Care Unit currently comprises a 20-bedded Adult Unit which can flexibly supply both Level 3 and Level 2 care. It has approximately 600 admissions per year that are both surgical and medical in origin. We also have a busy Accident and Emergency department. The Intensive Care Unit functions as a closed unit with close ties to other intensive care facilities through the North West Thames Critical Care Network. It is recognised as a unit performing to the highest standards and has been in receipt of 2 Charter Mark Awards and a Customer Service Excellence award over the last 12 years as well as a CQC Outstanding rating in 2020.
