The Neurology department at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) wishes to appoint a 6th substantive 1.0 WTE Consultant Neurologist with a sub‑speciality interest in Neuromuscular disease (Muscle, Neuromuscular junction disorders).

The department is based at the Royal Derby Hospital and includes a busy General Neurology outpatient service with sub‑specialisms in Epilepsy, Headache, Movement Disorders (including Huntington’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, and Neuro‑degeneration), Neuro‑ophthalmology, and Botulinum Toxin therapy. It also provides a neurology in‑patient service, ward consults, and a neurology ward supported by a Neuro‑therapy team with consultant weekend cover 9 am‑1 pm.
