Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology

Responsibilities

• A range of general and specialist outpatient services in Diabetes and Endocrinology
• Contribution to Acute Medicine on call and General Medical inpatients
• Diabetes & Endocrinology outpatient clinics, MDT meetings and supporting Diabetes inpatient team
• Administrative duties to support outpatient and inpatient work (office space and secretarial support will be provided)
• Supporting Professional Activities in accordance with the Trust Framework with at least 1.5 SPA (core) and additional PAs offered according to roles and duties commissioned
• On‑call duties for general medicine (currently assessed as 1.5 PA – 1:14 weekdays, 1:8 weekends)
• Educational supervision for residents (from FY1 to Specialist Registrar); additional SPA and job planned as 0.25 PA per trainee (1 hour/week)
