Consultant Psychiatrist – Public Hospital Setting

Location: Tauranga, New Zealand

Employment Type: Permanent (1 January 2027 – 31 December 2027)

Salary: $200,000 – $350,000 per annum

About the Role

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established mental health service in Tauranga. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across inpatient and/or community settings.

In this role, you will undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop and oversee treatment plans, and provide clinical leadership within the service. You will also be involved in supervising junior doctors, supporting allied health professionals, and contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
