Consumer Studies Teacher / Head of Consumer Studies Department - Senior School

TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR SENIOR SCHOOL TEAM AS A CONSUMER STUDIES TEACHER / HEAD OF CONSUMER STUDIES YOU WOULD:

• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Senior School Consumer Studies (Grades 10 to 12) in a similar school environment to St John’s D.S.G., preferably with IEB experience and conversant in IEB SAGS and CAPS, as well as the ability to conduct and assess Practical Assessment Tasks.
• Have leadership experience as a Head of the Consumer Studies Department (preferable).
• Have a Bachelor of Education, or a similar 4-year Senior / FET qualification in Consumer Studies, with PGCE.
• Have an excellent command of English (both written and verbal), with the ability to teach, assess, and communicate effectively in an English-medium environment.
