Contract Price/Cost Analyst

Summary About the Position: This position will serve as a Contract Price/Cost Analyst within the Pricing Division, Mission Operations Directorate. Management may select at either the GS-11 or GS-12 grade level. Responsibilities Recommend cost limitations to be imposed based on the reasonableness of profit or fee. Provide cost breakdowns to determine applicability of contracts. Negotiate adjustments of the contract price. Recommend provisions for progress or advance payments to supplement the contractor's working capital. Administer advance or progress payments to minimize risk to the government. Serve as Field Pricing Specialist for on-site audits at contractor's plants. Maintain contact with representatives of contractors and various Defense Department Administrative and Audit Agencies. Monitor post award review of small purchase actions for preceding quarter. Prepare Termination Notices to terminate contracts for convenience of the government.
