Summary This vacancy is for a GS-1102-11, Contract Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Operational Logistics Command (LOGCOM) LOG-93 Regional Contracting Branch Southeast in NORFOLK, Virginia. Responsibilities You will serve as a Contract Specialist and be responsible for procurement to support SILC-COCO-BSS and all Areas of Responsibility (AOR) including but not limited to: the acquisition of supplies, services, minor construction, or emergency response to procure any commodity/service required to support the AOR. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Prepares responses to Congressional inquiries, Freedom of Information Act requests or other sensitive correspondence on the assigned contracts and those of subordinates in subsection.
