Crematorium Technician

About The Role

Showing compassion and empathy in your approach to your work, you’ll be required to deliver a compliant and customer focused crematorium service to bereaved families.

You’ll be responsible for cremations and ensuring that the crematory equipment is well maintained and operating correctly and safely. You’ll ensure that the identity of the deceased is maintained throughout the process, and for attending to the storage and disposal of the cremated remains.

You’ll clean and prepare the Chapel and assist with playing recorded music during funeral services. You’ll have record‐keeping and administrative duties, alongside grounds maintenance duties to ensure all areas in and around the crematorium are clean and well maintained.

You will carry out the scattering of cremated remains in the presence of the deceased’s family and friends in the Garden of Remembrance.

The role will involve a reasonable amount of manual handling.
