**Crisis Intervention Specialist- LPC at Providence Portland Medical Center- Emergency Department.**
**On-Call, Variable Schedule**
The Crisis Intervention Specialist practices in an evaluation/treatment setting to evaluate and treat psychiatric and substance use disorders using a patient-centered and trauma-informed approach. Works both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Works with patient/support systems to evaluate and diagnose utilizing Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders; assess patient risk to self and/or others, complete and implement risk reduction/mitigation plans to ensure patient and community safety; complete crisis psychosocial assessment and develop care plan for patient including outpatient resources, follow up appointments and inpatient admission if needed.
