Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring the patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical intervention as needed.
Requirements include a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education, certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists, proven leadership skills, prior leadership experien...
