POSITION SUMMARY

Connecticut Clearinghouse Prevention Specialist has shared responsibilities for daily library operations, staffing community outreach and tabling events to provide substance use prevention resources to the public, developing social media and marketing materials, and supporting various projects of Wheeler’s Connecticut Center for Prevention, Wellness and Recovery. The Prevention Specialist works with unit leadership to develop and implement effective strategies for the prevention of substance misuse and problem gambling as well as to promote mental health.
