Ongoing, full-time position based at the Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct but working flexibly across other Youth Justice Custodial Precincts (Cherry Creek & Parkville), where needed to respond to operational requirements.
YJW2 role: $ 81,496 - $ 93,719 per year plus super
What you will do
As Cultural Liaison Officer, you will support multicultural and multifaith young people in custody. You will help them stay connected to culture, family and community while in a safe setting.
You will:
* create culturally relevant support plans for young people in custody
* support young people and their primary caregivers, and include families in case planning
* work with health, community youth justice and custodial staff on daily cultural support needs
