Opportunity Description
- Prepare, review, and submit customs documentation for import and export shipments
- Ensure compliance with regulations set by Royal Malaysian Customs Department
- Classify goods using HS codes and determine duties, taxes, and exemptions
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs officers for shipment clearance.
- Stay updated on current customs regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Communicate and coordinate with forwarders, shipping agents, transporters, and customs officers when necessary
- Monitor shipment status and resolve any customs-related issues or delays
- Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions and documentation
- Advise clients on customs regulations, import/export restrictions, and duty optimization
