Cytotechnologist (Hiring Immediately)

Cytotechnologist: Acupath laboratories, Inc. operates a CLIA-approved, NYS-licensed, and Joint Commission and CAP-accredited Anatomic Pathology facility that includes Molecular Genetics, FISH and Flow Cytometry testing. Acupath is a 24 hour/7 day a week facility. We are looking for a Cytotechnologist to perform Rapid Onsite Evaluations of non-gynecologic slides obtained during FNA procedures (off-site screening). Pay Range: $50 per CaseNote: May perform multiple cases per session at clinical offices. Responsibilities: Attends fine needle aspiration (FNA) procedures off-site and evaluates specimen cellularity. Perform immediate staining (e.g., Diff-Quik) of aspirated material smears to assess cellularity and determine if the sample is adequate or inadequate. Guide real-time procedural adjustments (additional passes). Triage samples for ancillary studies (flow cytometry, molecular testing, etc.).
