Data Centre Mechanical Engineer

Job Description 1. Perform detailed cooling load calculations and thermal analysis for data halls, including rack-level heat load assessments. 2. Design, review, and optimize ACMV systems, including: - CRAC/CRAH units - Chilled water systems - Cooling towers and pumps 3. Lead and support cooling system upgrades and retrofits, ensuring minimal disruption to live data center operations. 4. Evaluate system performance using KPIs such as: o Power Usage Effectiveness o System Efficiency 5. Conduct energy optimization studies and recommend improvements (e.g., air flow management, containment strategies, setpoint optimization). 6. Support capacity planning and future expansion work based on IT load growth. 7. Review engineering drawings, method statements, and ensure compliance with design intent and operational requirements. 8.
