Job Overview

David May Motor Services are looking to take on a mechanic apprentice to join their team in Ivybridge. This is a great opportunity to join a very busy and professional garage. The apprentice will learn all aspects of the trade from general repairs to full servicing. Tasks will include changing brakes, oil and filter changes, clutch repairs, full engine diagnostics, cylinder head replacement, suspension work plus numerous other jobs. The role will also include shadowing staff on complex repairs and assisting with MOTs.

General Duties

• Keeping the garage tidy
• Clean and safe for both staff and customers

Working Hours

The role is full time working 8.30am to 5.30pm five days a week, this equates to 40 hours.

Wages

£8 per hour, on a 40 hour week. Any overtime above the 40 hours per week will be paid at the appropriate national minimum wage depending on age.
