DELIVERY DRIVER / STOREPERSON

The role: We are currently seeking a Driver / Stores Person to join our successful Newcastle team. Reporting to the Distribution Centre Supervisor you will be assisting with customer deliveries and collections and undertaking a variety of warehouse duties.

Daily duties and responsibilities:

• Deliver customer orders in the company’s van as per delivery schedules, helping organise external carriers for timely despatch when overloads arise on the in-house facility.
• Prepare deliveries, whenever necessary and pack/assemble products matching customer orders due for despatch.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the warehouse, with storage of goods aided by mechanical handling equipment (forklift truck, hydraulic lift or any such device provided by the company).
• Undertake vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Ensure effective rotation of stock holdings to avoid “aging” in shelf life.
