**Job Description :**
**GENERAL OVERVIEW**
Assists the dentist with procedures and prepares the patient and operatory for dental treatment.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Organizes the operatory, including preparing trays and instruments for dental procedures.
+ Prepares and explains the dental procedure to the patient.
+ Assists the dentist chairside with all dental procedures.
+ Takes and develops intraoral/panorex/cephlometric x-rays, impressions and fabricates custom fluoride/bleaching trays.
+ Performs other duties as assigned or required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum**
+ Must pass national DANB Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Exam within 30 days of hire or possess a record of passing the former Pennsylvania-specific radiology exam if qualified prior to 12/12/2009.
+ CPR – American Heart Association
+ Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
