How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:The Dental Hygienist provides a variety of health care functions in accordance with the principles and practices of Dental Hygiene.

Dental Hygienist:

• Evaluates patient's oral health and hygiene status, performs necessary x-rays, panelipse, periodontal evaluation, and prophylaxis procedures.
• Maintains responsibility for the care and safety of patients during treatment.
• Provides necessary oral hygiene instruction with patient or caretaker and maintains follow-up.
• Follows guidelines in policy and procedure manual for safe sterilization and cleaning of dental operatories.
