Opportunity Description
- Preventive Care: Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), scaling, root planing, and polish teeth to remove plaque and calculus.
- Assessments & Diagnostics: Conduct oral screenings, examine gums for disease, check for oral cancer, take and interpret dental X-rays, and review patient health history.
- Patient Education: Teach patients proper brushing, flossing, and nutrition techniques to maintain oral health.
- Clinical Support: Apply preventative materials like fluoride and sealants, apply desensitizing agents, and assist with or administer local anesthesia (if state-certified).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient treatment records, chart findings, and document in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
