Job Description
News planning and coordination
- Coordinate with Resident Editor, reporters, bureau chiefs, and photographers to plan edition content.
- Constantly track developing stories and ensure timely follow-up and coverage.
- Coordinate with the national news desk in Chennai and deliver national stories at the earliest.
- Coordinate with the internet desk, in line with our online first policy.
Editing and layout
- -Edit and fact-check copy for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and adherence to the publication’s style.
- -Plan layout, design and execute pages.
- -Write compelling headlines, captions, and blurbs.
