Deputy Sister/ Charge Nurse

Overview

This deputy sister post is within the Maxillofacial and Orthodontic Unit. The post holder will join the management team of an expanding outpatient unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services across minor oral surgery, general and specialist clinics, trauma pathways and pre‑operative assessment.
• Support the care of patients with additional needs in both clinical and community dental settings.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
• Assist the senior sister and head and neck matron with day‑to‑day unit operations, including audits, off‑duty planning and use of the trust digital platform.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of maxillofacial and orthodontic services and support clinical activity across all clinics and service areas.
