Detective (Special Investigations)

POSITION TITLE:

DETECTIVE

Summary: Gathering facts and collecting evidence to solve or uncover information. Complex investigations: sex crimes; child, elderly, and animal abuse; violent, cyber, and juvenile crimes; high-profile investigations.

Duties:
•Work as a team member with other detectives
•Initiate and follow up on assigned investigations
•Interview victims, complainants, witnesses and suspects
•Detail report writing Specialized Training (will be provided)
•In-Depth investigations
•Interviewing
•Logistical operations for investigations
•Writing of affidavit of probable cause, affidavit warrants, and search warrants
•Continuing education, keeping up with new technology, investigative skills and legal updates.
