Job Description

Utilizes technology that merges radiopharmaceutical imaging technology with other forms for medical imaging technology for diagnostic purposes. Operates Nuclear Medicine, Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT/CT) equipment.

Job Responsibility

+ * Prepares patient for exam.
+ Explains procedure to patient in easy-to-understand terms based on professional knowledge.
+ Screens for pregnancy and ensures consent form for administration of IV contrast materials has been obtained.
+ Sets up equipment appropriately to administer prescribed procedure in a timely fashion.
+ Positions patient for scanning according to departmental standard operating procedures.
+ * Performs various exams using Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT and SPECT/CT equipment.
+ Prepares radiopharmaceuticals according to activity and quantity required for prescribed exam.
